Painting Flowers in little girls bedroom.?

We plan on painting flowers, grass, ladybugs and butterflies among the walls in our 3yr old daughters room and wanted to know what type of paint we could use without buying pint sized paint from like home depot or someplace like that. I do not know if we should use Tempura paint, Acrylic or what. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Use the 2 oz and larger acrylic craft paints-they go farther than you'll realize and I've used them for murals for years. If you have any question about cleaning etc-they are the same as latex and will last but you can get satin acrylic clearcoat and even wipe down the walls with it on a sponge when you are done-or flat if you prefer. If you want to make a quick stencil or pattern to trace, use posterboard and make center of daisy and one petal and you can trace around it and blow them out quickly. Have fun-hide some bugs or butterfilies in a corner or somewhere special for her to find or have a ladybug writing her a note with its "trail" on a leaf-kids love personal surprises.
Reply:Walmart or craft stores have two ounce bottles of paint.
Reply:It depends on how you are planning on painting on these pictures. If you are using stencils I would definitely recommend getting cream stencil paints. They cost a bit but the end result can be really beautiful. I did some flowers and butterflies in a bedroom with stencils and they look incredible.
Reply:buy acrylic craft paint at an arts%26amp;crafts store. it comes in loads of collors-even glittery and metalics! whatever you do, make sure all the colors you buy are from the same brand (Folk Art, Apple Barrel, Ceramcoat, etc.) different brands use different binders, and mixing brands can give you muddy colors.

after you paint, give the wall a spray with acrylic sealer (also available at the craft store) so you won't scrubb off the design if you have to clean the wall.
