How do I get noticed [in a good way] as a freshman in a high school full of skanks?

I%26#039;m 14 and going into high school. I%26#039;ve seen the girls that go there, spagettie straps and skirts that look like scrap material. I like wearing bright make-up but I control it. I don%26#039;t want to be a wall flower and not get noticed but I dont want to be looked at as a skank. please help!!!!!

Actually, if you don%26#039;t dress like a skank you%26#039;ll get noticed more. Most guys I know, my bf included, don%26#039;t like girls who let it all hang out. Also, your teachers will respect you more, and take you more seriously. Good Luck!! I was nervous about starting HS too. I just wore flare/bootcut jeans, and fitted tee%26#039;s.

That%26#039;s up to them. However, you just focus on your studies and improve anything that needs improvement and eventually someone will notice you for who you are. Talk to people, be good. Think of high school as a testing ground. It doesn’t really matter much what you do since you will be out of there in 4 short years and off to college and it’s unlikely that you will see anyone from your HS ever again. Use it like a pretest, you don’t have to do well (it doesn’t really count) but you do have to learn from your mistakes.

Reply:Wear bright colors and use bracelets, watches, belts, shoes, headbands, and jewelry as accent points. Once you are consistent with your style, it will be easier to notice you. Also, hair is a great way to be noticed. Good luck- and don%26#039;t turn into a skank
