My Sims2 game is broken. I can buy items, but I cannot use the build editor.?

Am I doing something stupid or is this game busted?

There is something wrong with your sims 2 game. I would suggest taking it back and getting a new one. If you dont want to do that then i would suggest calling the EA Support phone number that you can find in the back of your sims 2 booklet or on the sims 2/ea website. They will be able to tell you if it%26#039;s the game or your computer that is causing your problems
Reply:did you use the boolproop cheat? if so, make sure you disable it. if you haven%26#039;t, then your game might be messed up. go to www.thesims2.com - they have technical message boards - this may be a common error that you can download a patch and fix..if not you may need a new game
