R&S Mommies! Spiritually speaking, what was the best gift you got today?

My oldest son filled an empty baby food jar with table salt, added some food coloring and labeled it %26quot;BATH SALTS%26quot;. My youngest stole a flower off my niece%26#039;s bedroom wall to give me as a gift. I also got a homemade card from them. All in all, I%26#039;d say I made out like a bandit.

R%26amp;S Mommies! Spiritually speaking, what was the best gift you got today?
My children all made me cards and they each made this hand print poem at school that meant the world to me. I will always be able to remember how little their hands were! They also each grew me a plant at school. One was oregano which will be awesome to cook with once it grows more! :)

I was never able to carry to term, but my husband always gives me flowers on Mothers Day. He%26#039;s really sweet that way.





I also had the joy of helping my youngest niece (8 yrs old) record a song she wrote for her mom. She figured out the piano part and the words and melody. She told me the note names for each part, and I used my music notation software to print it out for her. I had to figure out the rhythm, but she did the rest herself, which amazes me - and her mom!





I%26#039;m thankful for all of you moms who do the daily work of raising the next generation. God bless you in your labor of love.

I%26#039;m a mother of 26 kids, happly married for 26 years.
Reply:My son has been bringing me clover flowers and wild strawberries from the yard all week. Today he let me sleep in and he took care of the dogs and fed himself.





The best gift is the love of a child, in any form!
Reply:My youngest handed me a little ornament with a golden pipe cleaner wrapped around it, but the best part was when I jumped up yelled %26quot;OH THANK YOU!!!! IT%26quot;S WHAT I%26#039;VE ALWAYS WANTED!!!!%26quot; and embraced her like crazy, jumping up and down and we started laughing until tears were there.





It was great.





The other two are still asleep.
Reply:Yes, you did. I got flowers from my eldest son [african violets]. A snow globe from the next. a hand-made glossy paper heart shaped pillow from my youngest. breakfast in bed [it was not only edible but some of my favorite foods]. although my hubby%26#039;s best friend is coming over for dinner [it%26#039;s bf%26#039;s birthday] - hubby picked up dinner. plus, hubby is giving me 18 sessions w personal trainer [yes, it%26#039;s what i wanted].





to top it all off - it was planned before this morning! I am a very rich mom/woman indeed...
Reply:I got my gifts yesterday. My daughter bought me a canister set at a garage sale that matches our planned remodelling for that room. She also bought me some flowers and will help me to paint the room.
Reply:Baby spit-up. Always a welcome gift, lol.





I also got homemade cards from my kids. Aren%26#039;t those the best?
Reply:So far they have only gotten into two fights.
