got scared %26amp; put my head under the covers, after a couple seconds I peeked out %26amp; saw a shadow of a five petal flower.
I yelled for my mother who tried to convince me it was just a dream, it wasn%26#039;t...I%26#039;m now 46 %26amp; haven%26#039;t forgotten it.
Would anyone have any idea what this could mean...seriously?
An experience I had as a child of app. 7 ...I saw an outstretched hand on the wall (like a simple shadow) and?
Hands may represent your abilities in your dreams, most commonly social. Ask yourself what your hand is doing for a clue to what abilities you feel you need to use right now. Are you healing, hitting, playing music? Are you washing your hands? If so, what are you feeling guilty about? Traditionally, if your hands are tied, handcuffed or bound in any way, you will have difficulty in completing something that you have begun. You may want to look at what is preventing you from doing what you know you should be doing and try to change it. If your hands are severed or injured, you may strongly want to think about this. Old-school dream theorists believe that if you see blood on your hands this means you will feel guilty if you do not aid a person for whom you could help better their life. If you are talking about someone else%26#039;s hands, you may be projecting feelings of guilt about your relationship with them.
Fear is a very common emotion to have in dreams. To understand fear in dreams, or nightmares, you must look at what is making you afraid. Many times, the source of your fear is some repressed emotion in your unconscious-- guilt, sexuality, anger, etc. Look up the symbol for what you%26#039;re frightened of for a clue about this repressed emotion. For many people, dreaming of their father or other authority figure brings up fear and guilt. Mothers may also show up surrouded by fear in symbols such as spiders. Does the frightening thing seem evil to you? If so, you may be fighting a destructive part of you personality that is threatening your inner peace.
I used to have those kind of dreams when I was around 6-7 years.
Reply:If u really saw what u describe and it wasn`t a dream, I`d take it for a good sign, but I can`t interpret what it meant. The outstretched hand as if to help u or to hand u a flower is pretty awesome, I can understand why u haven`t forgotten about it.
Reply:The shadow of a flower, seen by a child; get over it. Too much drama, not enough for you to do. If this is causing mental problems then get therapy. At your age you should have this under control. SERIOUSLY.
I said IF it was causing you problems, IF it isn%26#039;t, then good for you. You, yourself said this WASN%26#039;T a dream, so I assumed you still think it was supernatural occurrence. People here may analyze dreams, but yours sounds like something after 39 years that should be gotten over. Sorry if you are offended, but others learn from the questions AND the answers, dear.
Reply:It was probably just a dream and you were in a state where you were half awake and half asleep. You may have alos been running a fever which makes you feel slightly delirious. I had a similar experience where I vividly saw an old man sitting in the corner of my room. He was dressed like a chimney sweep or some Dickensian character. I remember this image more clearly than any other dream. And, there is no way that the old man was real.
Reply:So it was a dream, or it wasn%26#039;t? The interpretation will be different based on whether you saw it in dreaming or waking life.
If it was a dream, here is what I know:
Shadows symbolize something that is mysterious, hidden, or unknown. Humans naturally fear what is unknown, so fear shot through you when you saw this mysterious shadow.
The number 5 seems more important than the fact that you saw a hand and a flower. In mysticism, this number symbolizes trouble and sorrow. Of course, since this dream happened so long ago, whatever was causing these emotions is probably long gone or too late to address. Maybe you saw sorrow %26quot;blossoming%26quot; somewhere in your life, but couldn%26#039;t place what was causing it.
An outstreched hand might symbolize that you%26#039;re afraid someone was out to get you, or going to hurt you. It turning into a flower might have been a symbol of peace, that it was actually ok. However, since hands don%26#039;t normally turn into flowers it would have confused you and made you skeptical of this.
If it wasn%26#039;t a dream, then you probably saw a strange shadow made from the headlights of a car passing by or something. Your young mind had no idea what it was and pieced together some information that you knew--you knew what a hand looked like and what a flower looked like, and you thought it was that even though it probably wasn%26#039;t.
Since your mind put these things together, it can still be interpreted similar to how it might have been for a dream. Otherwise it was completely nonsensical and bizarre, and you were so afraid of it because of that fact, and that%26#039;s it.
Wow! I hope all that is somewhat useful to you. :D
Reply:Fear of being touched. In one way or another.
