Book help please?

For Chirstmas this year I received 60 dollars to Barns%26amp;Noble. I am very thankful for this gift because I love to read. The only problem I%26#039;m having with it is finding books to spend it on.

I am a 15 year old girl.

I prefer fistion to non-fiction, but I do enjoy some non-fictioin books.

Some of my favorite books are:

%26quot;Perks Of Being a Wall Flower%26quot; By:Stephen Chbosky

%26quot;Tuesdays With Morrie%26quot; By:Mitch Albom

%26quot;Running With scissors%26quot;By:Augusten Burroughs

%26quot;speak%26quot; By:Laurie Halse Anderson

%26quot;On the Road%26quot; By:Jack Kerouac

and

%26quot;As Nature Made Him%26quot; By:John Colapinto

Hopefully that gives some sort of idea what my style is. I would love to here suggestion on books, even if its not in my style area, I%26#039;ll still look it up and think about it.

Thank you.

Book help please?
Sixty dollars at Barnes %26amp; Noble, eh? Well, rather than stick entirely to just books here is what I think you might enjoy. I will try to honour your %26quot;fiction preference%26quot; but other interesting stuff I will sneak in.

Firstly, buy %26quot;Of Mice and Men%26quot; by John Steinbeck. You mentioned Kerouac%26#039;s %26quot;On The Road%26quot;. If you don%26#039;t have it, get it. Buy Roddy Doyle%26#039;s %26quot;The Commitments%26quot; and then rent the movie. That should leave you with enough to by one of the best non-fiction books of the past year or two; that being Canada%26#039;s Stephen Lewis%26#039;s %26quot;Race Against Time%26quot;. This would be the perfect book for a teen girl who cares about the world. If you have any money left get something by P.D. James or a puzzle magazine like Sudoku. Puzzles like that are great for your brain. P. D. James is a terrific storyteller and always weaves in intriguing ideas into her books. Try %26quot;Children of Men%26quot; (the recent movie of the same name is based on this 10 year old novel).

Have fun with your gift certificate. I love getting them for book stores.

Born On A Blue Day (Daniel Tammet)

The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini)

My Sister%26#039;s Keeper (Jodi Picoult)
Reply:i just bought extras by Scott Westerfeld. It%26#039;s amazing so far!! I recommend you get the first book Uglies. There%26#039;s 4 books in the series so far - Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras. It%26#039;s a fiction series that takes place in a future world where us %26quot;rusties%26quot; have died out, and those who survived started a culture where when your 16, you undergo surgery to go from a %26quot;ugly%26quot; to a %26quot;pretty%26quot;. the main character Tally is looking forward to surgery, until she meets Shay - a girl who decides to not take the surgery, making Tally consider whether or not the surgery is for her. Tally%26#039;s adventures eventually lead her to discover something bad about the surgery.....

this is an amazing series. the books average 300 - 400 pages, but are an amazing read!!!!
