Whats a good vine to grow on my wall?

I want to grow a vine plant on my wall near my pool, but I%26#039;m not sure if there is a kind that I will like. A lot of people will see it so i want it to be attractive. Currently, we dont have anyone working on our yard on a regular basis so I dont want the plant to be dropping too many dead leaves or flowers into the rocks and plants below for me to clean up all the time. Also, i dont want the vine to have thorns if possible. There are tons of kids running around and i dont want it to be difficult to pull out in a couple years if we decide to make some changes to the yard. Is there anything that would work for me???

I would say Cypress Vine. They are nice looking without over doing it, and you don%26#039;t have anything to clean up from them (meaning flowers ect... Like Jasmine.)

Another plus, they are easy to grow from seed. (They actually do poor when you start them in a pot and try to transplant.)

They won%26#039;t become overgrown ect... (They can become somewhat overgrown in warm climates, but not at all hard to control.) Many positives to this climber.
Reply:Jasmine would be great, but the small flowers will need to be cleaned up if you want, the scent is beautiful.
Reply:clematis is gorgeous, they offer a couple of different kinds now, one that blooms in the spring and then later. no thorns, just beautiful, go on line to a seed catalog company to see pics of these. you will like them.
Reply:I%26#039;m a Clematis lover myself

Reply:If you are wanting something permanent that does not necessarily have to bloom English Ivy is great. I have it growing up two of my trees in the front yard, my fence in the back. It will grow pretty quickly and could cover your wall in two years. As for flowering fines you would need to train them a bit to grow up the wall but jasmine is very pretty and smells great, cypress vine is very lacy and the hummingbirds love it.
